America’s Test Kitchen is a very real, 2,500-square-foot kitchen located just outside of Boston. (It will be relocating to Boston’s Seaport District in the historic Innovation and Design Building in the fall of 2017 where it will feature 15,000 square feet of kitchen space including multiple photography and video studios.)

America’s Test Kitchen is the home of Cook’s Illustrated and Cook’s Country magazines and Cook’s Science and is the workday destination of more than 60 test cooks, editors, and cookware specialists. Our mission is to test recipes until we understand how and why they work and until we arrive at the best version. We also test kitchen equipment and supermarket ingredients in search of products that offer the best value and performance.
